  | Alfa Romeo GTV Lusso 2.0 T Spark .Welcome to my auction for my Alfa GTV 2.0 T Spark. I have always loved these cars and looked at many before buying this one. In my view the GTV stills...>
looks fresh and modern in design (given the current shape of new cars) at a fraction of the cost!! I bought this car as a toy which has been regularly used without any issues or problems. It`s great fun to drive and returns a surprising economy given the current price of petrol. In my view the car is in great condition given its age, with Lusso full black leather interior, working air conditioning, single cd player etc...the car also has the unusual "unmarked" gloss black 16" alloy wheels with decent tyre tread. The car appears to have had plenty of money spent on it with supporting service history and bills including a full stainless steel exhaust. It also comes with 4 keys including the brown one. The mileage showing is 109,000 however the service history indicates that a replacement engine was fitted at 73,000 miles with a receipt for over £2600 by a Alfo Romeo dealer due to a cambelt failure. In the time I have owned the car it has been serviced with synthetic oil and filter plus both rear wheel bearings changed with OE Parts I am looking to sell as we recently bought a house which needs refurbishment and the car is spending its time being moved on and off the drive to make way for skips and builders vans so its now just getting in the way (plus the wife says it has to go to pay for cutains haha ) I have started the auction at a price that I am prepared to sell at without reserve which in my view is a real give away for such a great little car. I would like to point out that I have just paid over £398 for just one tyre on my daily drive BMW coupe so bear this in mind when bidding , for this price you are not buying a new car with perfect paintwork etc so please do not come tyre kicking! In terms of known faults, to be picky, the central locking doesn`t work as I suspect the passenger door motor needs looking at but still locks perfectly manually. There is a small blister on the aluminium cast door mirror but it does not stand out. Apologies if I have missed anything but you are more than welcome to come and view the car to make your own assessment before bidding! truly is an awesome car! An absolute dream to drive. She’s the 14th alfa I’ve owned so you could say I’m somewhat of an enthusiast! | Unfortunately I already have too many toys and have had to buy an estate car for my work so she’s up for grabs! | This car has FSH with all the major work done (mostly alfa specialists) and a stamped up service book. Backed up by lots of receipts. I also have all the old Mot’s. | She has been very well looked after which is reflected in the condition of the interior. Other than a small hole in the door card and very light wear on the drivers seat bolster (being very picky here!) the interior is absolutely mint!!! Absolutely none of the usual marks on the headlining where the rear seats are normally used for luggage! | Personally I think the red leather/silver bodywork is the best colour combination of all the GTV’s. | The body is in very good condition with a few stone chips and small shopping trolley dings as to be expected with a car of this age. The wheels have some kerbing marks and although not mint still polish up nicely. | The beautifull V6 and 6–speed box have never missed a beat. Pulls strong in every gear. | Since my ownership it’s had new cambelt, auxiliary belt, tensioners, idlers, water pump, radiator, rear end bushes replaced with powerflex items, bumpstops, turrets and a full service at AHM Hartley Wintney alfa specialist. Along with Pirelli P6000’s all round (still plenty of life in them)………..Well over £2500 spent! | Previous work included a new clutch at 80297 miles. This shows no signs of wear and along with the rest of the car everything works as it should. Air con blows ice cold. | Mileage is 132800 which may go up a little as the car is still in use. | Mot March 11th 2012 | Tax end of March | I have no doubt that this car will be a future classic and will go back up in value in time. condition apart from the odd little mark here and there. I bought this car with a noisy engine knowing it needed a bit of mechanical work. Everything works on the car, the usual airbag light is on and the air con needs re-gassing but other than that everything is ok. detailed below. MOT expires on 27th October 2012 and Tax until the end of June 2012. The car is in great condition and paint work is outstanding. The car has all the usual refinements, aircon, cd player, electric windows and mirrors. The leather seats are still firm and look excellent. While in previous owner hands, the cambelt snapped and they paid an Alfa dealer to repair it costing in excess of £2000+ At 65814 miles. Tyres have plenty of tread and the brake pads are almost like new. The car was registered before the emissions tax band came into force. Oil level is checked weekly! I have two keys (One blue and one red, plus a meta key fob!) | A few faults is that the indicators do not self cancel. I’ve looked this up on alfa owners club and it can be fixed by adjusting some clips. It hasn’t bothered me at all hence why I haven’t fixed it. Also some kind chap decided to restyle my already great looking GTV by bending and snapping the radio aerial. He probably thought he was doing me a favour, unfortunately he probably flunked art at school. You can buy a replacement from a breaker or eBay, but the radio works fine as it is. Another person who probably failed art was the person at the garage that smart repaired the rear bumper(corner). The blow over is poor and the match is down right disgraceful. The variator has become worn as it screeches on start up when cold. | Below is the service history. As I drive to work, viewing would be after 6pm, or anytime during the weekend. years. This car is being sold for no other reason than my work commute mileage has increased substantially and I cannot justify the extra fuel expense; already feeling like I have cut off a limb!! It was obvious from the mountain of receipts that the car had wanted for nothing and since owning I have had the belts and tensioners replaced (at 98K) despite these having already been replaced at 62K. I just wanted to feel extra safe and so you should not have to worry about this aspect for another 40K. The car has a full service history; next one due in 4K (approx cost £100), MOT until the end of September 2012 and tax until end of April 2012. Thats the boring yet important stuff; now let me tell you more about the spec :) Exterior This car comes with a very new Powerflow "cat back" medium sports exhaust with twin exits; I have also removed the lower catalytic converter; the upper cats remain (the car recently passed emissions with zero percent variance on the manufacturers quoted figures) In other words the engine is running very well! The car emits a low burble on start up and remains fairly quiet during normal driving; making the car seem very civilised on the motorway or around town. Hit a country road or bury your foot and this changes to a beautiful Itallian V6 roar. I have removed the baffle chambers from the Induction system which has further enhanced the experience; there is also an aftermarket air filter in place which compliments the sound. I understand that this is a personal choice and have retained all the original components should you wish to reset this aspect?? The car has 16" Teardrop alloys (could do with a refurb) all tyres have 4-5MM left. The bodywork is in above average condition with a few small dents and stone schips in the usual places; no rust. I have used a waterless wash and wax cleaner since owning; which preserves the paintwork, giving it a showroom shine. Interior There is a lovely Momo red leather interior in good condition; the seats are Electically powered; quire rare for this model! The carpets/mats are in good nick and I have inserted white dials in to the main and ancilliary instrument arrays; these glow ice blue at night and can be changed to green, also having the benefit of a dimmer switch. Again, I know this is a personal choice and so these can be removed very easily, reverting the display back to its original specification. The lusso spec inclused air conditioning, Climate control, electric windows, Electric heated door mirrors etc. I have fitted an aftermarket JVC stereo with a remote control and touch screen; this can be altered to match any color setting to blend in with the car. Engine The engine is clean and runs very well; no smoke or problems, it pulls from low revs and pickup is instant and linear making the car a joy to drive. The dual mass flywheel and clutch were replaced at 54K; I replaced all brake disks and pads within the last 6K. The car had a new radiator at 68K. The receipts show that much of the suspension has been replaced over the years and I have replaced the rear shock absorbers. There are receipts for other work such as oil cooler and pipes etc; too much to list. Summary This car has been a joy to own and drive and will not let you down; I have put 20K on it and it has not missed a beat. It is a nice example and represents good value for money. I invite any inspection although please note that a test drive will not be allowed unless you have arranged fully comprehensive insurance as my insurance has been transferred to my new vehicle.
