Relisted due to time waster | If you don`t want to buy don`t bid | Hi and welcome to the acution of my pride and joy an alfa 75 2.0 twin spark. Over the...>
years i have owed this car i have done all the work on her myself and know it inside out. The car has 11 months mot and 4 months tax. I have put spax lowered springs on, 40 mm lowered, it had spax shocks, all the suspension arm have been removed painted and fitted with poly bushes (power flex). So all the bushes on the watts rear linkage are poly (5 bushes in total). It`s had the rear body to bar anti roll bar bushes (22mm). It`s had new rear anti roll bar link bush set (yolk style 4 in total). It`s had new rear drop links for the anti roll bar. It`s had all 3 prop shaft donuts fitted, (front, middle, rear). It,s had new 52mm center prop bearing plus housing. new prop aligning bush. It`s had a new rear engine mount bush fitted which was a real nightmare to fit. It`s had new power flex top inner arm bushes fitted. It` had power flex castor bush set fitted. It`s had 2 new bottom ball joints fitted, It`s had 2 new track rod ends fitted. I painted all the wishbones when they came off the car when i did bushes. I also fitted new green stuff ebc brake pads which work really well. It`s had a new bosch battery fitted, It`s got a piper cross air filter, i`ve put a lancia delta integrale 16v bonnet bulge on and a roof vent, bonnet pins which sit in the bonnet. It`s got front leather seats out of a alfa 156 which look well. Every thing on the car works and i use it every day. I just fitted a new hand brake cable (not a nice job no room). It`s fitted with a clifford alarm which work the central locking, it`s also got moment sensor so if the car gets jack up the alarm go`s off. It`s got the L.S.D fitted as standard and handles really good. To be fair it`s a 26 year old car that you can use every day and puts a smile on your face when ever you use it. The body has no rust problems at all, I welded the car when i first had it and it`s been paint every year since. The car is so much fun to drive and will go sideways when ever you want it to. Would make a good drift car. The only reason i`m thinking of selling is to fund my next project. That`s enough going on now, happy bidding and i hope it go to a good home cheer`s. | Had a new clutch fitted by allitalia, they are italia car specialist, about 6000 miles ago should still have the receipt, | Car has been advertised else where so reserve the right to stop auction early. | X

Rear view of Alfa Romeo 75. The Alfa Romeo 75, sold in North America as the Milano, was a compact sports sedan / compact executive car produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo between 1985 and 1992. The 75 was commercially quite successful; in just three years, 170,000 cars were produced[2] and by the end of production in 1992, around 187,300 had been built.[3] The Alfa Romeo 75 was the last model that the manufacturer developed before being acquired by Fiat. Contents 1 Overview 2 Technical features 3 Turbo Evoluzione 4 Engines 5 Motorsports 6 References 7 External links [edit] Overview The 75 was introduced in May 1985[2] to replace the Giulietta (with which it shared many components), and was named to celebrate Alfa's 75th year of production. The body, designed by head of Alfa Romeo Centro Stile Ermanno Cressoni, was styled in a striking wedge shape, tapering at the front with square headlights and a matching grille (similar features were applied to the Cressoni-designed 33). At the 1986 Turin Auto Salon, a prototype 75 estate was to be seen, an attractive forerunner of the later 156 Sportwagon. This version was, however, never listed for sale, being cancelled after Fiat took control of Alfa Romeo. The car, dubbed the 75 Turbo Wagon, was made by Italian coachbuilder Rayton Fissore using a 75 Turbo as the basis.[4] Two estate versions were to be found at the later 1987 Geneva Motor Show; one was this Turbo Wagon and the other was a 2.0 litre version named the Sportwagon.[5] [edit] Technical features The 75 featured some unusual technical features, most notably the fact that it was almost perfectly balanced from front to rear.[6] This was achieved by using transaxle schema — mounting the standard five-speed gearbox in the rear connected to the rear differential (rear-wheel drive). The front suspension was a torsion bar and shock absorber combination and the rear an expensive De Dion tube assembled with shock absorbers; these designs were intended to optimize the car's handling; moreover the rear brake discs were fitted at the centre of the rear axle, near the gearbox-differential group. The engine crankshaft was bolted directly to the two-segment driveshaft which ran the length of the underside from the engine block to the gearbox, and rotated at the speed of the engine. The shaft segments were joined with elastomeric 'doughnuts' to prevent vibration and engine/gearbox damage. The 2.0 L Twin Spark and the 3.0 Litre V6 were equipped with limited slip differential.[7] The 75 featured a then advanced dashboard-mounted diagnostic computer, called Alfa Romeo Control, capable of monitoring the engine systems and alerting the drivers of potential faults. The 75 engine range at launch featured four-cylinder 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 liter petrol carbureted engines, a 2.0 liter intercooled turbodiesel made by VM Motori,[8] and a 2.5 liter fuel injected V6. In 1986 was introduced 75 Turbo, which featured fuel injected 1779 cc twin cam engine using Garrett T3 turbocharger, intercooler and oil cooler.[9] In 1987, a 3.0 liter V6 was added to the range and the 2.0 L Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine was redesigned to have now two spark plugs per cylinder, the engine was named as Twin Spark. With fuel injection and variable valve timing this engine produced 148 PS (109 kW; 146 hp). This engine arguably founded modern engines of today as it was the first production engine to use variable valve timing.[9] In North America, where the car was known as the Milano, only the 2.5 and 3.0 V6s were available, from 1987 to 1989. The USA-2.5-liters were fundamentally different from their European counterparts. Due to USA regulations, some modifications were required. Most noticeable from the outside were the 'America' bumpers, with the typical rubber harmonicas in them. Furthermore, these bumpers had thick (and heavy) shock-absorbing material inside them and in addition, they were mounted to the vehicle on shock absorbers. To accommodate these shock absorbers, the 'America'-bodies were slightly different from the European ones. Other changes relative to the European model were: A 67-liter fuel tank which was located behind the rear seats, reducing the boot capacity from 500 L (18 cu ft) to 300 L (11 cu ft). Side-markers in the bumpers Exhaust silencer sticking out from under the bumper at the r/h side of the vehicle instead of the center Fortifications in the doors and trunk lid Hooks underneath the hood, to keep the hood in position in a crash The USA-cars also had different equipment levels (depending on the version: Milano Silver, Milano Gold or Milano Platinum). L/h and r/h electrically adjustable outside mirrors, electrically reclining seats and cruise control were usually optional in Europe. The car was also available with a 3-speed ZF automatic gearbox option for the 2.5 V6. Other, more common options such as electrically operated rear windows and an A/C system were standard in the USA. The USA-cars also had different upholstery styles and of course different dashboard panels also indicating speed in mph, oil pressure in psi and coolant temperature in degrees F, and as a final touch the AR control was different, including a seat belt warning light. The European-spec 2.5 V6 (2.5 6V Iniezione or 2.5QV) was officially sold only between 1985 and 1987, although some of them were not registered until 1989. Relatively few of them were sold (about 2800 units), especially when the 155 PS (114 kW; 153 hp) 1.8 Turbo got launched, which in some countries was cheaper in taxes because of its lower displacement. To create a bigger space between the V6 and the inline fours, the 2.5 was bored out to 2959 cc's to deliver 188 PS (138 kW; 185 hp) and this new engine was introduced in the 3.0 America in 1987. As its type designation suggests, the 3.0 only came in the US-specification, with the impact-bumpers and in-boot fuel tank. However, the European 'America's' were not equipped with side-markers or the door, hood and trunk lid fortifications. Depending on the country of delivery, the 3.0 America could be equipped with a catalytic converter. In 1988 engines were updated again, the 1.8 L carburetor version was replaced with fuel injected 1.8 i.e and new bigger diesel engine was added to the range. In the end of 1989 the 1.6 L carburetor version was updated to have fuel injection and 1990 the 1.8 L turbo and 3.0i V6 got some more power and updated suspension. The 3.0 V6 was now equipped with a Motronic system instead of an L-Jetronic. The 1.8L turbo was now also available in 'America'-spec, but strangely enough not available for the USA market. The 3.0 V6 did make it to the United States, and was sold as Milano Verde.[9] [edit] Turbo Evoluzione 500 examples of the Turbo Evoluzione were produced in spring 1987 to meet Group A requirements.[10] The car had many modifications compared to the normal turbo model. The engine was 1762 cc (normal 1779 cc) and claimed power was the same as in the standard turbo, but the engine is better suited for power upgrades than the standard 75 Turbo engine.[11] [edit] Engines Launch, May 1985 1.6 (1570 cc) Carb with 110 PS (81 kW) @ 5800 rpm and 146 N·m (108 ft·lbf) @ 4000 rpm 1.8 (1779 cc) Carb with 120 PS (88 kW) @ 5300 rpm and 170 N·m (125 ft·lbf) @ 4000 rpm 2.0 (1962 cc) Carb with 128 PS (94 kW) @ 5400 rpm and 183 N·m (135 ft·lbf) @ 4000 rpm 2.0 (1995 cc) TD with 95 PS (70 kW) @ 4300 rpm and 192 N·m (142 ft·lbf) @ 2300 rpm (left hand drive markets only). 2.5 (2492 cc) Injected V6 with 156 PS (115 kW) @ 5600 rpm and 206 N·m (152 ft·lbf) @ 3200 rpm 1986 1.8 (1779 cc) Injected Turbo 155 PS (114 kW) @ 5,800 rpm and 226 N·m (167 ft·lbf) @ 2600 rpm 1987 2.0 (1962 cc) TS with 148 PS (109 kW) @ 5800 rpm and 186 N·m (137 ft·lbf) @ 4000 rpm (upgrade of existing 2.0 engine) 3.0 (2959 cc) V6 with 188 PS (138 kW) @ 5800 rpm and 250 N·m (184 ft·lbf) @ 3000 rpm ('Milano' in US markets only) 1988 1.6 catalytic with 105 PS (77 kW) @ 6000 rpm 1.8 i.e with 122 PS (90 kW) @ 5500 rpm and 157 N·m (116 ft·lbf) @ 4000 rpm (replacing existing 1.8) 2.4 (2393 cc) TD with 112 PS (82 kW) @ 4200 rpm and 235 N·m (173 ft·lbf) @ 2400 rpm 3.0 V6 AMERICA catalytic with 188 PS (138 kW) @ 5800 rpm and 250 N·m (184 ft·lbf) @ 3000 rpm (Europe market only) 1990 1.6 i.e with 107 PS (79 kW) @ 6000 rpm and 137 N·m (101 ft·lbf) @ 4000 rpm 1.8 Turbo Quadrifoglio Verde with 165 PS (121 kW) @ 5800 rpm 2.0 TS catalytic with 148 PS (109 kW) @ 5800 rpm (replacing existing 2.0) 3.0 V6 QV @ 192 PS (141 kW) @ 5800 rpm and 250 N·m (184 ft·lbf) @ 3000 rpm (replacing existing 3.0, the motor from the 164 featuring a Motronic system as opposed to the earlier 3.0 V6-es which were equipped with the L-Jetronic. Team drivers included such names as Nicola Larini, Gabriele Tarquini, Sandro Nannini, Jacques Laffite and Mario Andretti.[12] With no success and the whole season being a farce Alfa Romeo left the series before the overseas races.[13] Gianfranco Brancatelli won the 1988 ITC serie with Alfa 75 Turbo and Giorgio Francia placed second in the 1991 ITC.[14] The 9th Giro d'Italia in 1988 was won by the team of Miki Biasion, Tiziano Siviero and Riccardo Patrese with a 75 Turbo Evoluzione IMSA.[15] [edit] References ^ a b "Alfa Romeo 75". carsfromitaly.net. http://www.carsfromitaly.net/alfaromeo/index.html. Giulietta production started towards the end of 2009 and was introduced at the March 2010 Geneva Motor Show.[5] In a viability plan forwarded to the US Government in February 2009, Chrysler (a partner of Alfa Romeo parent company Fiat) reported that the 147 replacement would come to market as the Milano and that it could be built in the USA.[6] However, this name was recently dismissed following Fiat's decision to move Alfa Romeo's Centro Stile to Turin from Milan – the management wanted to soften the focus on this episode that actually closes the glorious partnership between Alfa Romeo and the city of Milan.[7] The Giulietta came in second place in the 2011 European Car of the Year awards. The 2010 Giulietta is available only as a 5-door hatchback. The Giulietta got its Italian dealer presentation on 22 and 23 May 2010. A new Giulietta advertising campaign is made with Hollywood actress Uma Thurman.[8] Contents 1 Safety and driving adds 2 Platform 3 Engines 3.1 Petrol 3.2 Diesel 3.3 Fuel consumption (EC 1999/100) and CO2 emissions 4 Notes 5 References 6 External links [edit] Safety and driving adds The Giulietta was designed with a target of a 5-star EuroNCAP safety rating. The car will have also many electronic devices as standard: VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) electronic stability control, DST (Dynamic Steering Torque), Q2 electronic differential and Alfa Romeo DNA selector which allows driver to choose between three different driving settings; Dynamic, Normal and All-Weather, this setting controls the behaviour of engine, brakes, steering, suspension and gearbox. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is equipped with a reactive head restraint and gained five star () rating and overall score of 87/100 in the Euro NCAP car safety tests.[9] That result makes it the safest compact car ever.[10] Giulietta´s result (97% Adult Occupant, 85% Child Occupant, 63% Pedestrian Protection and 86% Safety Assist) means that the car will also have five-star rating in 2012 when the Euro NCAP system will have reached maximum severity. [edit] Platform The platform used is Fiat Group C modified as "C-Evo", called also as "Compact". Practically this is all new platform.[2][11] Fiat Group used around 100 million euros to re-engineer the C platform, previously used for the Fiat Stilo, Fiat Bravo and Lancia Delta, into C-Evo,[12] it has a longer wheelbase, shorter overhangs and an advanced new type of McPherson strut front suspension and multilink rear suspension.[5] The wheels use a 5-hole pattern with a 110 mm bolt circle.[13] The length of the Giulietta is around 4.3 metres (14 ft), which is similar to the Alfa Romeo 156. Only a five-door body is available for sale. [edit] Engines The range of engines includes the new 1.4 T-Jet petrol and M-jet diesel family, all turbocharged. A six-speed manual and Dual Dry Clutch Transmission TCT (Twin Clutch Transmission) introduced at the 2010 Paris International Motor Show, will be choice gearboxes for customers. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta will use a new engine which utilizes a system known as Multiair. The system controls the amount of air going into the engine by controlling when air is allowed into the engine and how much the inlet valve opens. The system works by inserting a "tappet" between the cam shaft and the valve and the engine management system can control the amount of oil that is allowed into the "tappet" thus changing the effective opening profile of the inlet valve. The system can also change the overlap of the inlet and exhaust valves as well as changing the amount of lift and this allows the engine to maintain a steady pressure in the inlet manifold which is used to increase the amount of torque the engine produces while maintaining the efficiency of the engine. The system is said to increase torque by 20% while reducing emissions by a similar amount. Our expertise obviously carries over onto the closely related Alfa Romeo Alfetta, S.Z and R.Z. We can supply a host of tried and tested Performance upgrades, including the renowned suspension kit from Nurburgring based race specialist Ron Simons, road and race wheels by Revolution, and Brembo big brake kits that transform any car that is used on track. We offer a full engine rebuild service, whether it be a head gasket on a 1.6 twin cam or a one off 3.7 24-valve V6 track day special. We will also have a 300 BHP Supercharger kit for the V6 available in the near future. Gearbox rebuilds and modifications are also a speciality enabling us to cure your crunchy second gear syncro with the minimum fuss and expense or reset your limited slip diff for a for a more driver focused set up. We also manufacture our own range of composite body parts and panels in fibreglass, carbon Kevlar and carbon fibre. This includes the much sought after Alfa Romeo 75 Veloce body kit and many race orientated parts such as the Alfa Romeo 75 I.M.S.A rear spoiler and re-profiled front splitters with matching under trays. We particularly pride ourselves on our in house restorations, which are carried out to the highest of standards. Roy, our resident metal work and panel specialist insists corners are never cut and this attention to detail means that our work will continue to shine where lesser restorations will be returning to rust and flaky paint.
