Alloy wheels still in excellant condition virtually unmarked. at a cost of £600 , the car has done 147k mostly motorway miles This car unlike many other alfas all of the electrics do work , there are no suspension problems knocks or faults (common problem) , the owner before me spent just shy of £3000 on the engine having new deisel pumps fitted i have repaced most of the suspension. (all invoices to prove)The leather has no rips or marks i am a non smoker , i am happy to put a new mot on the car at the right price , i all of invoices for repairs that i have had done the car is fault free The only bad parts are that the sills ar lifting from the body , this is a common fault and they need to be taken off and re bonded back on , this has never botherd me the fog light on one side has a small crack , bonnet has a very small dent from stone at some point no bigger than a 10p coin and it has picked up stone chips along its way. The condition is immaculate apart from the few age related marks , It has a couple of scratches on the rear bumper as i have shown in picture 11 . The interior is perfect and nice and clean . The switch for the driver side window has come out so will need replacing . Also one of the glass dials for the heater has a crack in it , this doesnt affect the heaters in any way and they work perfect . Apart from that the car is immaculate and drives faultless . The wheels are in very good condition and have good tyres . I have priced the car at a good price so the new keeper can get the couple of little things done . JTD always starts first touch and returns good economy. It has a long MOT and is in very good condition for the year cosmetically inside and out. It`s low mileage for the model although it does have a couple of issues so is sold entirely as seen. It is slightly noisy in 1st,2nd and 3rd gear but silent in 4th and 5th. The gearbox selects all gears perfectly and the car drives fine the noise has been there since I bought it and not got any worse but I like to point these things. The bottom auxiliary belt pulley wheel is also slightly noisy as is common to the model. The leather interior trim is in excellent condition throughout. | It has an MOT valid until October 14th and is taxed until the end of January. Serious buyers only please it’s priced to reflect the noisy gearbox. It was previously recorded as a CAT C in 2007 due to flood damage although the water never looked to have entered the car and there was no damage to bodywork, it must have been written off as a precaution. recently done at 165890 miles. Interior in very good condition (I am tempted to say unmarked) there are no signs or ageing at all, the boot is clean and has a full tool kit and unused space saver spare. Central locking and boot remote opening by buttons on the key fob , All four electric windows work, all heater functions work, not sure about the air con. Its too cold outside to know. The exterior does have some dents and dings, the front bumper is badly stone chipped and there is a bad scratch on the n/s front wing/door (see picture) there is also a small dent in the o/s rear door this does not show in the pictures but is noticeable. The car drives well, the brakes are good, but it does not have an MOT, I think it will need a top front o/s wishbone at least to pass, but other than that the lights all work and there are no warning lights on. Regarding the price, the car comes with four17”speedline alloys (in good condition not been kerbed) with at least 4 to 6mm of tread (these alone would go for £400 on ebay) if you do not want these I can change them for selespeed alloys with 2mm of tread with a saving of £250 off the buy it now price., making a cheep car at £425. only one key, pretty much full service history, ABS, traction control, had suspension arms and roll bar links and bushes, had a new water pump and cambelt last week, drives really well nice and tight wouldn`t know it had done 140k pulls well no smoke very good on fuel only two owners, the only thing that lets it down a bit is the clutch is wearing it doesn`t slip or judder but it will need doing at some point in the near future hence price, it is an 8 valve engine and they DO NOT have dual mass flywheels but it will cost around 400 mr clutch do them cheaper (but that`s up to you!), tyres are all good , its got mot until august no tax, i have the v5 and all the paperwork for it, any inspections/ test drives welcomed. owners and has an MOT until December 2012 and is taxed until the end of May 2012.It`s in generally excellent straight condition all round - check out the pictures - the paint has responded very well to a wash and polish, it`s lovely and shiny. Please please don`t expect it to be absolutely perfect and mint when you come along though, the car is 11 years old and does have some imperfections. It`s has a few small scratches dotted about, a really small dink in the drivers door, another tiny one on the bonnet and a couple of other small marks on the paint . But again look at the photos, this is a really smart car and looks great parked outside the house.It`s showing a recorded mileage of 119,000 which looks perfectly genuine to me given the condition and it`s backed up with a good Service History - 8 Stamps in the service book, last done this week by ourselves. There is a documented Cam Belt change at 72,000 in the service book and then another receipt for a full cambelt kit and water pump fitted at 109,000 at a cost of £220 so all sorted in that department. The car starts first time every time and the drive is inspired - these Alfas handle like no other FWD saloon, they are like a big go cart - excellent brakes, steering and suspension. The clutch is light and bites well, the gears change easily and smoothly. The engine provides lusty performance and very decent fuel economy - I`ve been getting well over 30 mpg. The car has the OE Fit remote locking / alarm / immobiliser system fitted which works perfectly. The car has the desirable 16 inch Teledial Alloy wheels.Inside it`s also in great order, the black leather is just gorgeous, the seats and carpets are showing virually no signs of wear - just a tiny bit on the drivers seat bolster. It`s clean and fresh having just been valeted by ourselves. It`s fitted with the original Sony face off CD Player which sounds terrific and works perfectly. This Veloce model is a high spec one, the car has power steering, electric windows, electric mirrors, central locking ,tilt steering column and height adjustable driving seatCar has just had a full engine service - fresh oil, oil filter, air filter, anti freeze and ALL EIGHT spark plugs - those alone cost £65 trade!And has had the following new parts fitted - Rear brake pads , Exhaust Manifold Gasket , Coil Pack and Airflow MeterComes complete with V5 , MOT, and 1 original Alfa flip blade key with remote locking. Great MPG and powerful car also, this is a great car and if it wasnt for the new company car it would be going nowhere, hours spent cleaning and polishing it throughout the summer and even with the harsh winter we had last year, it started first time every time and drove past many cars struggling in the snow with its traction control. seats which are in great condition and the V6 engine sounds amazing and the car handles great. It has been sorn this month as i havent used it for 3/4 months due to a company car. and back on the road. It`s has no tax. I`ve had it off the road since the end of October but have started it up and taken it for a little run every now and again to blow the cobwebs away. It still drives really well and the engine is fairly pokey especially once it gets up in the rev range.Here`s some info on it:The Good BitsIt has the light grey full leather interior which is in really good nick. It`s got a Parrot bluetooth handsfree system installed which should work with most head units (The car doesn`t currently have one but has all the wiring there to plug straight in).I changed the cambelt at around 80000 after I bought the car and put a recon head including all valves and variator on at the same time so the head gasket was obviously done then also. It had new spark plugs at the same time and a new Varta blue battery.I`ve replaced the front left lower wishbone and both uppers and anti roll bar links. It`s also recently had new front discs and pads.The Bad BitsThere is a problem with the gearbox so it jumps out of 4th gear as soon as you put any power down, it`s fine when you`re slowing down and off the throttle. I`ve been told it might be selector forks in the box but haven`t investigated further, replacing the box with a second hand one might be a cheaper option. All the other gears work fine.It needs the left outer CV boot replacing, it has developed a slight split in it recently.It has an oil leak from the crank seal at the flywheel end (I think) so it goes through probably a litre of oil every 400-500 miles. I have tried to track down the source of the leak a few times but can`t trace it exactly, but it looks like is coming from there.It has a small dent/scrape in the rear left door/rear quarter ( see pics) which was there when I bought the car so have no idea how it happened. It doesn`t affect the door shutting properly at all though.I`ve tried to list all the main points about the car but if I think of any more bits I will update.Overall it`s a really nice car to drive and it wouldn`t take too much to fix the problems that it has if you`re willing to put a bit of time and effort into it. non-payment of their parking space rental bill and we have not been able to contact them for 12 months now - there will be no come back against any purchasor. The car is located in an underground car park in Salford. We do not have keys for it and it is currently locked. The car can be moved on dollys to the entrance of the car park where there is a straight uphill ramp leading out of the car but it will need to be pulled on to the back of a truck to be taken away. The car is being sold for parts but we will not break it ourselves. The interior is cloth and seems to be in decent condition through the window. I am not aware whether the engine runs but it should be worth well in excess of it`s price when broken for parts. and I cannot justify spending more money as just received a new company car. | Good points: | Always start’s first time and runs lovely | Had Master Service in June 2011 which also included | - Front and rear pads replaced | - Front upper wishbone including ball joints (both sides) | - 4 new Bridgestone tyres (205/55/16) | - Front CV boot (both sides) | - Front Brake Discs (both sides) | - New Rear Brake callipers (both sides) | - Cambelt kit changed including water pump | This amounted to over £1,500 in bills | Body has very little rust | Black leather interior in good condition (some age wear on drivers seat) | It Failed MOT on: | - Park brake under minimum levels - Probably just need tightening or new cable should be cheap | - Centre exhaust box has leak - Not looked but either needs to be replaced or welded. This also had impact on exhaust emission test | - Nearside front and rear floor plan showed corrosion - Not looked but it was mentioned that a local welder would be probably able to fix the problem to pass MOT | - Registration plate character incorrectly spaced - This was a private plate on the car when I purchased. This is a quick fix at the local Halfords. Plate will come with car. | Small other issues I was going to look at over time: | - Scratch on rear driver’s side door | - Slight leak which looks like selespeed gear box. I have never seen another one like it. | It also has the optional 16" `Teledial` factory Alfa alloys and electric sunroof & climate control air condition. (Blows very cold!) | It has never been smokesd in and is very very clean inside and out, almost showroom. | The gearbox is the very rare `Tiptronic Automatic` (not Selespeed) that actually can be used as a full 5 speed manual without the hassel of a clutch as well it has the sport and city mode . With stop and go traffic the way it is here in the UK it makes driving a pleasure. | The 156 has all original paint and is almost perfect...there are a few stone chips and the odd parking lot mark, but in all, very very nice original paint, and unmarked interior. | This Alfa Romeo Sportwagon has a recent MOT and Taxed unitl 2012 New front tyres, and just completed a full service. New cam belts, 6 new spark plugs / oil and filter and electronic tune up. | It really does not need anything. I just completed a tour of Europe starting from Portsmouth to the Algarve in Portugal over to Marbella then to Barcelona finishing off at Santander to then take the ferry over to England. seats which are in great condition and the V6 engine sounds amazing and the car handles great. It has been sorn this month as i havent used it for 3/4 months due to a company car. The bodywork and interior are in good condition as you can see in the photos, ive had no problems with the electrics which is a common fault.
