Good Bits: New batteryGood Tyres all round (not matching set though)Replaced lower wish bone on passenger sideMOT until July 2012Runs and drives well.Reconditioned alternator.Replaced air con pump (will need gassing up to function). Bad Bits: READ THIS BIT CAREFULLY PLEASE. Knocking front suspension - this is the upper wishbones on each side, the bushes have gone.Dent in boot lid, right in the centre below the badge, about the size of a 10p piece - see picturesVery slight scratches on drivers door - may polish out.Front bumper has a scuff on drivers side and slight marks on passenger side.Passenger rear door has laquer peel under the window, full width of the door and about 2-4 inches down the door.The interior needs a good clean to bring it back to life - the drivers seat has paint on it - see pictures.Rear window wiper does not work.No tax.Air conditioning requires gassing up.Remote central locking work but need to be close to car - possible fob battery need replacing. It has had new gear linkage bushes,nearside front top suspension arm whilst i`ve had it and a cambelt/kit in may 2010. there is no service history,just a reciept for belt and a couple of mots.only 1 key. mileage seems to check out ok on mot history,i`ve also hpi checked and the damage to vehicle is not recorded. unless you really look. There are also a few scratches but nothing major. The wheels are good with a few curb marks but definately no more than expected for the age infact i`d say less! The driver door handle was ripped off last weekend by a vandal so you have to open the door from inside and the rear passenger side door doesn`t open as I think something has come undone inside the door due to someone pulling the inside handle too hard when the child lock was on! Not difficult to fix I imagine. | The upholstery is good with no cigarette burns or bad stains. It is very tidy, the only bit of damage I can think of is that the hinge is broken on the cover of the central arm rest but it still closes and works. | Mechanically the engine is fine, I had it re built about 2 years ago and it runs perfectly and very reliably, it starts every time no problem even in the coldest of weather. | The front passenger side suspension makes a bit of a knocking sound, the exhaust rattles a tiny bit and the gears are slightly difficult to get into 3rd gear and sometimes slips out of 3rd gear I`m told this is a linkage problem? but it`s been like that since I`ve had the car (3 yrs) and it is fine once used to it. | Apart from that the car is good overall, perfectly driveable and very reliable and with a little tlc would be a great car again its got plenty of MOT left on it and a couple of months tax. | Cash on collection please,collection only, winning bidder must contact me within 2 hours of auction end please (or by 10am the next morning if it ends after 9pm) and must buy the car within 2 days unless you pay a £100 deposit via paypal which needs to be agreed with me first. | Sorry to be so strict but the guy who won this last time promised he`d buy it within the week but didn`t which has cost me!! | Happy bidding people. | X | £320.00 | |||||||

and my Missus isn`t pregnant. The simple truth is that a recent impulse purchase means that my little Alfa now needs to go to a new home. I`ve since regretted this impulse purchase, but having not been able to sell it and not being able to justify having unused vehicles sat around indefinitely forces this sale.Whilst in my ownership this lovely little car has proven both comfortable and surprisingly fun. Being the 138 bhp 16v multijet version (rather than the vastly inferior 8v versions) provides both great performance as well as a genuinely acheivable 50 mpg fuel economy.The `Lusso` model has refinements such as electric windows, digital climate control and cruise control. Additonal options fitted to this car include the original Alfa Sport 17" alloy wheels, ipod interface and full black leather interior. As can be seen from the pictures, the car is in excellent condition both inside and out. The car is MOT`d until 08/11/2012 and taxed until the end of February 2012. The only advisory issued on the MOT was corrosion to the exhaust tailpipe. This really does only extend to the tailpipe - the back box itself is perfectly fine. The only other negative point to mention is that the air conditioning doesn`t blow very cold. The compressor etc engages and runs like it should, and the system will only require a regas. This was just one of those `little` things that I was meaning to get round to doing.Recent work on the car includes: Two recent 215/45/17 Kumho Ecsta Sport tyres, Silicon lower boost pipe, both upper and lower front wishbones, both front and rear droplinks and both front wheel bearings. On 07/12/2011 both the front and rear brake discs and pads were also replaced.On 05/01/2012 the car was sent to Autolusso to investigate a poor running problem. Much work on the fuel system ensued and £1123.95 spent means that the car now runs perfectly. A member of staff at Autolusso actually commented to the vehicles excellent condition (with specific regard to the turbo etc - parts of which you would expect to be worn in a car of this age) and how well the car now runs. I have also recently replaced all four shock absorbers and springs with Koni FSD and Eibach Pro items. These were an indulgence rather than a necessity, but at about 100,000 miles I felt the original items were getting a little tired and the fitment of the new suspension has ensured that the car now handles and rides superbly. A full wheel alignment correction was carried out at Autolusso after fitting. These are the only modifications to the car.I have also replaced various other little bits and pieces such as the front and rear badges, number plates, wiper blades etc and the car has been regularly polished to maintain its beautiful metallic black paintwork.The car has full service history and a large amount of other receipts and paperwork are present for other work and maintenance carried out. The last service was in January 2012 at 114,339 miles and the cambelt (inc waterpump) was changed on 16/04/2010 at 69,001 miles (next due at 141,000 miles). As you can see I`ve invested a large amount of time and money into the maintenance of this car and it`s lovely looks, excellent drive and strong performance are all a testament to this. (Still in use so may rise slightly) The cheapest cars on eBay are £5500-£6500 with comparable miles – mine really will be a steal for somebody. The car has not had any tasteless additions to it – everything on the car is as it was fitted in the factory. Unfortunately the car needs a minor repair, although i`ve been driving it for weeks as it stands, and it is a Category D as a result of a third party hitting me. I bought this car in June after searching long and hard for the right one. It is a pleasure to drive and benefits from a 120HP 1.9JTDM diesel engine, which is responsive yet economical, regularly returning up to 50mpg – over this if you are stick to a steady 60mph on a run as I have been doing! The car has all the books and manuals and a set of interior mats (not pictured) If you are a Manchester United fan (i`m not), the number plate may interest you – it reads MUFC if you take away the year suffix – this is completely by chance and it’s not a private plate. I will disclose the full registration on request to genuine buyers. This alone is probably worth something to the right person! The car was serving me really well until I was driving home in early January, and a third party pulled out and hit the passenger side of my car. I’ve been driving it ever since and will continue to do so until it’s sold. In all honesty, there isn’t an awful lot of damage, see the photos 7-12 - I’ve been as thorough as I can. (If you want more send me your e-mail - I have lots saved on the laptop) I’ve been told it’ll need: A Passenger Front Door A Rear Door (if it won’t repair) A Wing (or a repair to it) Sill section repair or replaced A tiny repair to the rear quarter A little DIY touch up to rear alloy. The lady that has hit me has gone through her insurance, and when the assessor came round to view the damage he told me it would be a Category D write off. The insurance company have given me a settlement for the repair costs and let me keep it, however I`ve opted to sell instead of organising the repair myself. I’m looking for a bigger car now, maybe a 3 series, so have decided to sell the Alfa. If you have something interesting you`re looking to sell, try me. (within eBay rules naturally.) Anyway, I’ve worked out you could literally repair the car for next to nothing using genuine Alfa parts from eBay. Everything bar the wing is the same on the 2001-2006 Alfa’s which are everywhere on eBay. If you can get a decent bodyshop to spray panels on the cheap, there’s a LOT of money in the car either for re-sale or driving yourself. Do your research on eBay and check my below findings out for yourself! - Doors are anywhere between £40-£70 each (there’s two in the same paint code as my car on eBay for £65 each delivered!) -A wing for £50 (brand new ones are only £110 delivered from Alfa) -The Sill section - breakers yards seem to want £30-40 for one if you don’t want to repair it Then factor in the miniscule repair to the rear quarter for around £50-£80, you can probably repair for £400-£500 (or less if you’re in the trade / know what you’re doing with a socket set!) It is in very clean condition, with the usual age related stonechips etc. for a late 57 plate car. I applied paint protector when I bought the car (similar to Autoglym Lifeshine) and it has been washed and hovered every week without fail. It’s never been smoked in, I have no kids so the rear seats are as new, and my two cats wouldn’t appreciate being given a ride in it! Obviously, I can’t offer a warranty and it’s sold as seen, being a category D write off. I encourage you to come and view the car regardless as it really will be a great car again once repaired. I`ve been getting a consistent 60mpg on the a roads to and from work everyday, averaging 45-40 mpg around town. This is a nice car, the model that Alfa started to turn things around and challenge the Golf.
